Wi-Fi will soon be available on inter-city buses

Dubai: Wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) will soon be available to passengers travelling on luxury coaches servicing the Dubai-Abu Dhabi route, a senior official said on Tuesday.

Engineer Eisa Al Dossary, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Transport Agency at the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, told that the 10 luxury coaches recently launched on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi route have been fitted with the necessary equipment and all that remains is for the service to be turned on.

He said passengers on the buses would also soon be able to buy soft drinks and snacks on the inter-city route.

Al Dossary said a total of 55 luxury coaches would be introduced on the inter-city route in phases at a cost of Dh128 million.
